The 13th Metalurgia – International Technology Fair and Congress for Foundry, Steel, Forging, Aluminum and Services, kicked off this Tuesday in Joinville-SC, bringing the technologies that shape the future of the industry to one of the main hubs of the foundry industry in Brazil and Latin America. The fair brings together 240 exhibitors from all regions of Brazil and nine other countries – Germany, Belarus, China, Spain, USA, France, India, Italy and Thailand.
The opening ceremony was attended by the deputy mayor, Rejane Gambin, councillors, representatives of sector organizations, exhibitors and visitors. “Over the four days of the event, we expect to welcome professionals from all over Brazil and other countries in an environment of opportunities and solutions that show where the industry of the future is heading,” commented Richard Spirandelli, director of Messe Brasil.
The executive manager of the FIESC/SESI/SENAI North-Northeast Regional Office, Marco Aurélio Goetten, highlighted education programs conducted and supported by the system, directly linked to the metallurgy and foundry sector. “Our role is to contribute to the development of the industry through trained professionals and solutions that contribute to the development of the industry of the future in our country,” he emphasized.
The president of ABINFER – the Brazilian Toolmaking Industry Association, Christian Dihlmann, highlighted Joinville’s importance in the sector, as it concentrates the largest number of toolmakers in the country and has trained professionals who have already taken their expertise to industries in other countries. “We are working to set up a training center for the sector in Joinville and the world will increasingly turn its eyes to Joinville.”
Deputy Mayor Rejane Gambin congratulated the organization of the event and the contribution it makes to the development of the city and the region’s industry. “I wish Metalurgia a long life and that we have more and more events of this quality in our city,” she said.
Organized by Messe Brasil, Metalurgia runs until Friday, from 1pm to 8pm, with the support of FIESC (Federation of Industries of the State of Santa Catarina), ABIMAQ (Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Industry Association) and ABINFER (Brazilian Tool Industry Association).
