The 13th edition of Metalurgia – International Technology Fair and Congress for Foundry, Steel, Forging, Aluminum and Services, has just been launched and will be held from October 7 to 10, 2025, at the Expoville Pavilions in Joinville, Santa Catarina. The event is recognized as one of the main events in the metal sector in South America, integrating the various segments of the production chain.
Richard Spirandelli, director of Messe Brasil, is optimistic about the 2025 edition and predicts a significant 20% increase in the number of exhibitors. “We are committed to renewing our exhibitor base, as well as looking for innovations to surprise the Metalworking public. We are actively working to ensure that this is the best fair yet, expanding business and networking opportunities,” he says.
Held every two years and with more than 25 years of history, Metalurgia has established itself as the essential meeting point for suppliers and executives in the sector. Attracting a qualified audience of technical professionals and purchasing decision-makers, Metalurgia provides a unique platform for promoting products and services, making sales and expanding networking.
The number of visitors to the 2023 edition reached the 13,000 mark, coming from 17 states, 344 different cities, covering all regions of the country, including representatives from most of Brazil’s foundries. In addition, there were visitors from 11 other countries, three from Europe – Germany, Italy and Switzerland – and eight from the Americas – Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, USA, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay and Uruguay.
The quality of the visitors was another highlight identified at the event. 16% are presidents, vice presidents, partners or directors, 21% hold managerial positions, 50% technical positions and 13% students. The largest group of visitors, 25%, came from the foundry sector, 10% from the automotive sector and 18% from the engineering, steel, agricultural and heat treatment sectors. The majority came in search of machinery and equipment, followed by foundries and castings, automation, process control and measurement, furnaces, boilers and heat treatment.
In addition to the exhibition, Metalurgia 2025 offers a series of simultaneous events, including a technical congress, business roundtables, workshops for exhibitors, among other parallel activities. In the last edition, there were more than 400 meetings in the business roundtable and 46 hours of content in parallel events.
The location of the event is another favorable point, as it takes place in the center of the most industrialized states in the country, equidistant from the Brazilian metallurgy hubs of RS, PR and SC, and in the city that concentrates one of the world’s leading foundries, reasons that ensure its success among exhibitors and professionals in the sector.
