Celebrating 40 years in the global market, GNR is officially launching the SIRIUS 500, its new multi-matrix optical emission spectrometer, which represents the latest in OES (Optical Emission Spectrometry) technology. Designed to meet the most demanding requirements of the metallurgical industry, the SIRIUS 500 combines ease of operation, analytical precision and energy efficiency in a single piece of equipment.
The spectrometer features an innovative optical design that can accommodate up to 14 high-resolution CMOS detectors, each with 4096 active elements. This guarantees a spectral resolution of more than 10 ppm, covering a wide analytical range from 119 to 850 nm – ideal for analyzing all the main elements present in metal alloys, both ferrous and non-ferrous.
In addition, its optics are filled with argon and equipped with an intelligent recirculation system, which ensures maximum transparency in the analysis of low-intensity ultraviolet radiation (UW) and drastically reduces gas consumption, with less than 10 liters per day. This represents a revolution in sustainability and operational savings for laboratories and foundries.
