Ampco Metal exhibits High Performance Solutions in Special Alloys

In Metallurgy, Ampco Metal Brasil demonstrates to the market its solutions in special copper and aluminum bronze alloys developed to contribute to increasing productivity, reducing operating costs and extending the useful life of critical components. The solutions are applied in sectors such as foundry, steel, automotive, plastics and forming.

Highlight for two of its most traditional and internationally recognized lines : AMPCO® Bronze Aluminum and AMPCOLOY.® Both have different applications, but are united by the same concept, offering greater durability, efficiency and reliability in processes that require superior thermal or electrical resistance and performance.

AMPCO® Bronze Aluminum with options 18, 21, M4 and 45, is the line of special alloys known for its high mechanical strength, excellent behavior against wear and corrosion and excellent surface finish. They are solutions indicated for applications in bushings and gears. wear plates, valves and guides, machine components, and friction applications that require durability and constant performance. The combination of strength and finish ensures greater reliability in parts subjected to continuous stress, with gains in productivity and reduction of maintenance stoppages.

AMPCOLOY® brings together special copper alloys with high thermal and electrical conductivity, such as AMPCOLOY® 972, 940, 944, 95 and 83. They are ideal materials for applications in molds, resistance welding, plastics, and die casting. Its differentials include high thermal and electrical conductivity that enables greater efficiency in heat transfer and high hardness and mechanical resistance that ensures longevity in severe applications. Beryllium-free alternatives offer the same performance with more safety and sustainability. Solutions that reduce mold cycles, improve cooling, and increase productivity in resistance welding processes. This range is especially relevant for industries that need components with fast cooling and efficient thermal dissipation, such as in plastic molds, injection inserts, cooling pins, and hot runners.

SPECIAL ALLOYS FOR DIFFERENT INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

Ampco Metal Brasil’s special alloys meet the demands of the main sectors represented in Metallurgy. For the foundry and steel industries, they contribute to increasing the service life of components subject to extreme wear and ensure greater reliability in valves, guides and gears. In the automotive sector, they are applied in more efficient resistance welding, with high durability electrodes and reduced operating costs.

In the plastics industry, special alloys with high conductivity allow shorter injection cycles, improving productivity and the final quality of the parts. In the forming and stamping market, its use in bushings, dies and friction components provides superior resistance and reduced maintenance stoppages.

Ampco Metal positions itself as a strategic partner for companies seeking complete application engineering materials and solutions. Ampco Metal’s global success is explained by the sum of international experience and personalized local service. In Brazil, the Joinville unit offers: application engineering with technical support in choosing the most appropriate alloy for each need, ensuring superior performance and cost reduction.
