Fair and Congress will be held in Joinville/SC, September 15 to 18
In September, Joinville will gather the main innovations in machinery, equipment, raw material and services for foundry at the 12th Metallurgy – International Technology Fair and Congress for Foundry, Steelmaking, Forging and Aluminum and Services. The event will take place on September 15 to 18, 2020, in Joinville/SC, in a favorable scenario for this industry, considering that the Santa Catarina state ranks the second position in Brazil in cast iron production and concentrates a wide chain of suppliers of the sector.
Biennial, the fair is the main in Brazil carried out in the even years and gathers simultaneous events with Abifa’s Plenary, CINTEC Fundição – Fair and Congress on Technological Innovation, among other simultaneous events. Practically all large companies of the sectors in the country and international brands exhibit in Metallurgy, which traditionally receives qualified visitors from Brazil and other countries interested in business and partnerships.
Brazil ranks the position 10 in the international ranking of cast production, leaded by China, India, and the USA, that account for 70% of world production, or 71.13 million of tons. More than half of the national production of cast is designed to the automotive industry, supplying automotive component, auto parts manufacturers and the own automakers, trucks, buses and tractors assemblers. Metallurgy is carried out by ABIFA – Associação Brasileira de Fundição (Brazilian Foundry Association), and organized by Messe Brasil.
Among the confirmed exhibitors, we can highlight raw materials suppliers, measurement systems and materials, machines, equipment transportation, robots and services, designed to processes automation, Industry 4.0, thermal treatment and welding, recycling and EPIs. “The fair gathers all the areas related to metallurgy in one of the main casting technology centers in Brazil”, comments Richard Spirandelli, Messe Brasil CEO.
