Ladle Heaters and Infrared Stoves are Gas Service’s Launches in Metallurgy

Gas Service presents two launches at Metalurgia 2025: the Foundry Ladle Heaters and the Modular Infrared Ovens with gas or electric lamp heating. With more than 25 years of experience in the development of industrial heating systems, the company positions itself as a reference in energy efficiency, operational safety and sustainable solutions, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the sector.

Ladle Heaters are designed for the preheating of liquid metal pouring ladles and meet the fundamental requirement of foundry to ensure that ladles reach at least 800°C before use, avoiding thermal shocks that compromise the integrity of the insulating walls. With robust design and national technology, these equipment increase safety, optimize gas consumption and provide uniform heating, controlled by PLC with PID algorithm and automatic lighting. The exclusive lid tipping system, present in projects by major players such as Castertech, ROMI Fundição and Magotteaux, stands out for its practicality and thermal precision.

Infrared Greenhouses present a revolution in the treatment of surface drying. Using full-reflection infrared radiation, the systems concentrate heat directly onto the surface of the part, ensuring drying and curing up to three times faster than traditional forced convection drying systems. With modules that can be equipped with MFB infrared burners, Catalytic Panels or Electric Lamps, the ovens are compact, modular and highly efficient, achieving energy gains of more than 50%, while reducing emissions and waste.

FOUNDRY LADLE HEATERS AND INFRARED OVENS SUITABLE FOR THE SECTOR

Foundry and Metallurgy are industrial segments that operate under severe conditions, requiring robustness, safety and reliability. Gas Service has developed its new products to respond directly to these demands, proposing solutions that improve thermal performance, increase operational safety and reduce environmental impact. Both the Ladle Heaters and the Infrared Greenhouses are the result of a 100% national project, with the ability to customize and integrate with various industrial layouts, contributing to the modernization and competitiveness of Brazilian industries.

Sustainability is at the heart of the development of Gas Service’s new products. The Ladle Heaters use high-speed burners and precise air/gas control, optimizing energy consumption with a reduction of up to 60% in the use of LPG or natural gas when compared to other very rudimentary and unsafe heating systems employed in most Brazilian foundries. The tilting lid design minimizes thermal losses, and efficient combustion significantly reduces CO, NOx and CO₂ emissions, making the process cleaner and aligned with the industry’s decarbonization goals.

Gas Infrared Greenhouses, on the other hand, can operate either with catalytic blankets that operate without flame, or with Infrared burners with combustion, with catalytic ones being those with the lowest emission of CO and CO₂, promoting a safer and more ecologically responsible work environment. The modular system, adaptable to existing lines, introducing the concept of Hybrid Oven (Infrared + Convection), also avoids complex renovations or replacements, maximizing the use of the manufacturing infrastructure and avoiding waste and resulting in higher line speeds, and or shorter curing time for the parts, with energy savings of up to 50%.
